Japan Competition

This is one of the life time experience for me, although I did not win any medals but learning with the Grand master  in Japan was one of the most exciting moment of my life.  Achieved so much as such a young age, being Karissa mother cannot find word to explain how ecstatic I'm of having such a wonderful child doing so well in her Karate Journey.

Meeting Master Fujiwara with my coach

Picture with all the competitor from around the world

Training with the top trainer around the world

Trying to concentrate as I'm still can't believe I'm in Japan

                                                            The day of the competition

It is the best experience of my life

It been a while since I update my daughter blog and now here is to share some of her success in 2018

GLL Sport Foundation athlete award 2018

This year in February, Karissa coach asked me to apply funding for her for GLL Sports Foundation and at the time her coach said to me “ it is her first time she apply for funding and it will most likely she will get a free Gym membership” In my mind I just thought ok nothing to loose so with the help of her coach I started applied for the GLL funding.

I did not heard from GLL for a while and thought it might not be successful until the Easter week I received an email that she is successful selected to receiving a GLL Sport Foundation athlete award for 2018.

Last night I took Karissa to collect the reward and to my surprised she has reward financial help from GLL and I was over the moon as it will help us a lot for her next oversea tournament and also this is the first time I applied for funding and I do believed that there is people out there do see the potential in her, I feel very proud and touched by it.

I would like to say a big “thank you to GLL who really make her dream into reality.  GLL recognised some of the local community’s talents. GLL Sport Foundation is one of the UK’s biggest associated body that gives financial and training support to athletes across all sports disciplines.

Well done Karissa this evening and congratulations to all the athletes who also received the award that put in all the hard work to get support by GLL.  Also special thanks to Mark and his team for the hard work to put this Event together and made it happed

Also I would like to thank the Kaizen Academy (Karissa Karate club) for helping me putting the application together.
